Inga & Michael got married on a sunny day in August. A perfect day for a summer country wedding. I met Inga early in the morning at their hotel where she got ready together with her maid of honor and her mother before Michael arrived to pick her up. We walked to the cityhall just across the street where all their friends and family were already waiting. The civil ceremony was short but emotional, especially when Inga’s brother surprised them playing the trumpet with his band.
From the cityhall Inga & Michae drove off in her father’s Mercedes oldtimer. We went to a barnyard that is now used as a restaurant and reception site. After a short welcome speech coffee, tea and cake were served while everyone enjoyed Inga’s brother and his band playing their trumpets at the reception. Although Michael said he doesn’t want any couple portraits I could convince them that they may regret that and at sunset we quickly drove into the field across the street for a few images. A few minutes later back at the reception they changed their shoes for Converse Chucks for the first dance. But before they could hit the dance floor Michael’s friends were waiting with a Piñata. The first dance started as usual but then suddenly ACDC started and bride and groom delivered a fun performance dancing to snippets of about 20 different songs. When the party was at its best I had to say good bye and drive back home.
