This Tuscany Dream Wedding was not part of the initial wedding plans of the bride and groom. Marilu is from Lima and Enrico from Siena. They planned their religious wedding in Peru and wanted just a small dinner party for their civil wedding in Italy. The plans turned into a Tuscany Dream Wedding when they had the chance to secure an absolutely stunning location: The 16th century Villa di Geggiano in Enrico’s hometown in Siena.
The Wedding Day
On the wedding day Marilu and her sisters got ready inside the Villa. Enrico moved into the modern guesthouse. He relaxed in the open air Jakuzzi before his friends arrived and they got dressed. Marilu’s father walked his daughter half way to the ceremony to Enrico. Bride and Groom then entered the outdoor ceremony in the orange garden of Villa di Geggiano together. Personal and emotional speeches from close friends and family caused laughter and tears. During the exit guests threw so much heart shaped confetti that Enrico even ended up with a heart in his mouth (pun intended :-D).
While the guests stayed in the orange garden for cocktail hour we had the villa and vineyards to ourselves.
At dusk people sat down for dinner under the open sky. The tables were right in front of old stone arches and sculptures and with a view on the beautiful villa. What a setting! After dinner spontaneous speeches by Enrico, Marilu and Marilu’s father made everyone tear up again. But not fur long. After cutting the wedding cake and the wedding dance the dinner turned into a wild dance party.
Marilu and Enrico, thanks for bringing me al the way to Italy for this beautiful wedding! For letting me stay at Enricos home, for making me feel as if I were not even working and for becoming friends a long the way!
