This is the last blogpost compiling my favorite photos of 2015 and it is about what I wedding photography is all about: authentic moments or candid wedding moments.
It is hard to define what makes a “good” moment or a good photo of a moment. Every wedding there a hundreds or even thousands of moments happening. Small and big, planned and spontaneous, long and short. I think there are different aspects to make a moment interesting for wedding photography. It can be a moment so short that being fast enough to capture it has its own merit. Sometimes the setting, location, reflection, composition effects or technicalities make it a good photo even if the moment itself is not that captivating. But usually it is an emotional moment that leads to a photo that resonates with the viewer. It may be funny, sad, exciting, intriguing, painful, cute, dramatic ore more. Sometimes obviously and literally and sometimes indirectly and more subtle which then is even harder to capture in a photograph. Sometimes being able to include two or more different moments, several little stories in one single frame is what makes the photo interesting. Actually, the more you can combine of all of the above in one photo, the stronger it becomes.
I hope you can find some of these aspects in the photos below – My favorite wedding moments of 2015
