The Salar de Uyuni is the world’s largest saltplain. It is located in the high Andes of southwestern Bolivia at 3650m asl. During the rainy season from December to march parts of the saltplain are covered by just a few centimeters of water leading to an amazing mirror effect.
I wanted to visit the Salar de Uyuni for a long time but work kept me from traveling there until finally work bought me there. Simon and Prema from Hong Kong were traveling through Southamerica and booked me to fly to Bolivia and shoot wedding photos in the Salar de Uyuni with them.
The truly breathtaking landscape was worth the long travel and the tough day at high altitudes!
