The Wedding Photojournalist Association, WPJA, just published the results of their Q1 2015 contest for the first quarter of 2015. This time they changes their contest and only included five contest categories and thus only half as many possible winning images.
In conclusion it is twice as hard to win an award this time and I am twice as happy to see one of my images among the winners. It made 17th place in the new category “Wildcard Portrait”
That is the category I had the least hope to win something as there are so many colleagues out there creating mindblowing portraits around the world that should have won before me. Well, thanks to the judges for picking this photo! Thanks to Simon and Prema who flew me in to shoot their photos at the Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia.
