Even though it is February already, this is my first blog post this year and I am looking back on my 2014. I have to say 2014 was a very generous year for me and I have countless reasons to be thankful.

The biggest gift and change in our lifes is the arrival of our son Bastian who was born healthy and without any complications in march. Our family routine and also my working routine has been restructured since then.

I also turned 30 in 2014 and as strange and stupid as it sounds, I feel a lot older a lot more often now, especially on sundays. Now, next sunday I will turn 31 and guess how I receive it? Right, photographing a wedding 😀

Professionally 2014 was a very busy and successful year. I photographed 44 weddings in Peru, Germany and Mexico and somewhere in between I photographed the hundredth (100) weddings since I started. I am proud, excited and humbled that in 2014 my photographs have won several international awards, among them 4 WPJA awards, 3 fearless awards and 2 excellence awards and that my work got published in several blogs and magazines around the globe. Thanks to all the friends and clients who put their trust in me to capture those special, romantic, crazy, funny, spontaneous, intimate beautiful moments. It has been a pleasure and an honor to be part of your special day. You are making all this possible!

On the other hand 44 weddings in one year means a rhythm that I still have to get used to. Despite the best intentions I can’t find the time to do everything I’d want to do – I hope nobody notices 😀 Time management and working more effectively definitely is another thing I will take care of this year as I have booked a crazy amount of cool weddings again for 2015 🙂 One big change: I am starting to officially work with my wife in the office.
