Vanessa and Dennis, better known as Nessi and Ille to their friends, found their way to me through their wedding film maker Jürgen Stadtkowitz. You can see his trailer below where you can also see getting back up from taking a fearless award 😀 That was some fun wedding photography!

I first met the two on Skype, then later in person for a coal mine engagement session with their son Lou. We had fun from the first frame on

On their weding day Nessi was getting ready together with her mom, her sister and her soon to be sister and mother in law at Manfred Wilms Salon. From there I rushed over to Ille who was getting ready in his parents’ home for a few photos and a Champaign with Red Bull. As I found out that day both of them are Red Bull Junkies :-D. Then I hit the road again to take photos of the bride getting dressed in her apartment. From here we drove to the ceremony in the protestand St. Luther Church – I in my own car and Nessi in a pink stretch Limousine.

When the groom saw the bride for the first time entering the church and walking down the aisle with her father he couldn’t hide his emotions. Actually the whole day was very emotional and filled with laughter and tears. An authentic and fun wedding that the bride and groom were determined to simply enjoy. Even when the groom ripped open his pants during portrait session they just laughed about it instead of panicking. The reception was in the historic town hall with its arched cellar. When I left in the early morning they were still partying.
