Just a week before Gianella and Bruno’s stylish wedding in Lima we met for their engagement session in Miraflores so I knew their wedding was gonna be fun.
When I arrived at Gianella’s parents’ house she was still with Nando Mesia getting her hair and make up done. So I started with a few detail shots of the wedding dress that she bought in the states, her shoes etc. When she arrived she quickly slipped into her dress and we took photos of her and her family in the house. The house was completely redecorated with beautiful antique furniture. The perfect stage to start the photos as the entire wedding was full of details from the early 20th century.
We almost arrived a little late at the Church (Virgen de Fatima) in Miraflores. I stepped through the door the moment the groom started to walk to the altar with his mother. He was soon followed by his bride who was walked down the aisle by her father. Even though the ceremony was set for 7pm, it was still a very warm summer night in Lima. Too warm for suit anyway 😀
Casa Garcia Alvarado, also known as Casa Larco, a beautiful historic building from the times when Lima was full of cottages, was the perfect location for this wedding and was prepared and decorated by the amazing Meche Koechlin Catering. The DJ Hayro and the Hora Loca by Divertiled got everybody dancing even long after bride and groom had escaped.
