I have known the bride and groom, Milagros and Fernando through our good friends Luciana and Jorge who also had their wedding at the beach that I photographed in 2010. So I was very happy when Milagros picked me to photograph her wedding. Fernando is a passionate surfer, both live right at the beach and so they picked the Waikiki Beach Club, a club directly at the beach of the Costa Verde in Miraflores, Lima, as a perfect location for their ceremony and reception. The wedding was very personalized and full of little details that made it special. The bride’s dress for example was made by her own grandmother in a slight vintage style.
Having a beach wedding and getting married at the beach at sunset is just amazing but that also meant that we only had a few minuted for a very quick couple portrait session after the ceremony before the sunset and before it went dark.
The reception was very fun with a lot of laughing, drinking and dancing all night long until the bride and groom left to catch their flight directly into their honeymoon.
