In the June 2012 our friends Virginia and Jacopo from Rome invited us to their wedding. Together with my wife and my daughter we spent a few beautiful sunny days in Rome, discovered the city and spent time with our friends who had organized a nice little apartment for us to stay. Of course our highlight and purpose of this trip was to be at Virginia and Jacopo’s Wedding. They got married in the beautiful Basilica di San Saba. Their little little son Eduardo was the ring bearer.
Then we shot a few portraits at an orange garden and park with an amazing view over Rome. On our way to the reception we stopped for 2 minutes at the colosseum to incorporate the city’s landmark in a couple of photos. At this point the midday sun and the rising temperature were already working against us. Time for some ice-cold water and then off to the Casale Torre Sant’Anastasia. A beautiful estate in the Roman countryside. The decoration was kept green with white yellow and purple elements fitting well both to location and season. The delicious lunch was served in the afternoon and continued into a dessert and candy bar and into cutting the wedding cake. A very nice idea were the small bottles of red and white wine with their photo as a take away.
Here are some impressions from this amazing day:
