One of the first weddings of 2012 was a small private garden wedding but it also was a very special wedding for me. It was my little brother’s wedding and I was happy to be able to photograph it for him and his wife Aen. This time I was invited as a guest and family member and tried to be part of the party and not to hide behind my camera too much.

The wedding was planned to be in the very spacious garden of our parents which borders to a small forrest. So without any neighbors there was enough space and privacy for a garden wedding and for some nice wedding photos. For the ceremony they invited a theologist to marry them right there. It turned out they were rather optimistic regarding the weather on their big day. In the end it had been raining the entire weekbefore the wedding and even the morning of the wedding day. But luckily they managed to get pavilions and a platform at last minute and then the rain finally stopped for their ceremony and reception.
